MBC Official Rules 2026

  1. Eligibility

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Reside within the United States of America

  • Must be an active Mobile Bass Challenge member/competitor at the time of the competition event

  • Must have paid entry into the competition event.

2. Competition layout

  • Mobile Bass Challenge members are eligible to pay entry fee into any competition event.

  • Weekly competition events will be Monday through Sunday.

  • Access to any competition event will be available through Friday of that event week.

  • Members/Competitors may only submit scorable fish on any 1 day of their choice during the tournament week Monday-Sunday. Clock and day changes at midnight.

  • Catch must be caught on video, wearable Point of View (POV), or fixed/3rd party camera so long as the competitor stays in frame for duration of the cast, the catch, the landing, and measuring/submission confirmation of the fish.

  • In-App photo of the scoreable fish on the Ketch Board must be captured and uploaded. A 4 digit code will be supplied, that code must be audibly or visually confirmed on the Catch Video.

  • Select the appropriate size for score application.

  • An optional trophy shot or “selfie” will be available for upload after score photo is submitted.

  • Video proof of each submission must be uploaded within 48 hours of submission.

3. Fishable waters

  • Any natural or manmade outdoor body of water the competitor has legal and authorized access to. Specifically ponds, streams, lakes, estuaries or rivers. (Obviously no swimming pools, fish tanks, residential landscape water features (coi ponds))

  • Waters and habitats may be deemed unreasonable and off limits by the Mobile Bass Challenge officials if necessary.

 

4. Method of taking

  • All fish must be taken by rod and reel with artificial bait.

  • Cast and retrieve only, no trolling allowed.

 

5. Scoring

  • Fish will be measured using the “Ketch” board standard/inches version.

  • Clear photograph submission of fish on the board nose touching

  • Species of bass are Black Bass subspecies including: Largemouth, Smallmouth, Spotted Bass, Redeye and variations of each.

  • Points will be awarded based on length via the scale below, Point values will double upon video upload and catch verification.

  • Ketch Board used for scoring must be long enough to score the fish caught.

  • Total points will determine weekly event rankings.

  • Year to date scores will accumulate for an “Angler of the Year” title.

  • Top Points leader of each competition will be awarded “Winner” of that event and eligible for the next level series the following year (2027)

  • Ties for first place of any weekly event will be broken and decided at the end of the year by annual points accumulated.

  • Fish will score points based on length. Point values are as follows:

       

        12-12.5 = 24

        12.5-13 = 25

        13-13.5 = 26

        13.5-14 = 27

        14-14.5 = 28

        14.5-15 = 29

        15-15.5 = 30

        15.5-16 = 31

        16-16.5 = 32

        16.5-17 = 33

        17-17.5 = 34

        17.5-18 = 35

        18-18.5 = 36

        18.5-19 = 37

        19-19.5 = 38

        19.5-20 = 39

        20-20.5 = 40

        20.5-21 = 41

        21-21.5 = 42

        21.5-22 = 43

        22-22.5 = 44

        22.5-23 = 45

        23-23.5 = 46

        23.5-24 = 47

        24-24.5 = 48

        24.5-25 = 49

        25-25.5 = 50

        25.5-26 = 51

        Over 26 = 52

6. Ties

  • In the event of a tie or multiple ties. The last equal value in points beyond the 1:10 competitor ratio cutoff will be the new cutoff, and payouts will be divided evenly amongst those winners.

  • Example: if points are tied beyond the payout bracket, the last place holding a tie will be included. So if 9 places were being paid, 1-3 were tied for first, 4-6 were tied for second, and 7-12 were tied for 3rd... those 12 competitors would share the prize purse. Competitors are the factor, not the position held.

7. Entry fees and payouts

  • Entry fees will be $50 for each points event, plus a separate service fee to cover transaction fees. 

  • 100% of entry fees ($50) will be paid paid back

  • Payouts will be sent via VENMO

8. Failed uploads

  • As a technological based competition, Mobile Bass Challenge recognizes geographical and technical issues with signal may arise that interrupt or prevent the uploading of submissions. Maintaining connection is the responsibility of the competitor and Mobile Bass Challenge is not responsible for any failed submissions.

9. Federal, State, and Local law compliance

  • All Federal, State, and Local laws must be followed by the competitor with and throughout each submission made for competition.

10. Disqualification

  • Violations of subsection 7 above will result in the disqualification of all submissions of that competitor during the week of the competition event applicable to the violation, and could result in disqualification from future events.

  • Inaudible or otherwise unverifiable confirmation codes will result in the disqualification of that submission.

  • Uploading of lewd or irrelevant photos may result in disqualification and membership revocation.

11. Social Media and Submissions

  • All Score submission photos, trophy selfies, and catch videos uploaded to Mobile Bass Challenge become property of Mobile Bass Challenge and may be used and reproduced on social media or Mobile Bass Challenge websites.

  • Members may or may not be “tagged” or credited on social media by Mobile Bass Challenge if provided with the information necessary depending on the social media platform.

12. Disclaimers

  • All aforementioned rules are subject to change at the sole discretion of Mobile Bass Challenge officials.

  • Mobile Bass Challenge is not liable for any damages or legal consequences, legal or criminal, caused or accumulated by any member/competitor during the course of competition.

  • Mobile Bass Challenge may disqualify from any event or indefinitely any member at the sole discretion of its officials.

  • All membership dues and entry fee purchases are final, non-refundable purchases.
